Family!

Now with the holidays behind me, I would like to reflect on family.
The holidays have always been sad for me. With both my parents gone my family was just my husband, daughter, son-in-law and grandson.
This year I realized what does family really mean.
A traditional family is mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, brothers, sisters,
grandparents,cousins, aunts and uncles. But does that really define family?????
My family to me is my husband, daughter, son-in-law, grandson, my dog, my cousin who is my best friend and like a sister, my aunt who is like a mother, my neighbor who is my best friend and like a mother and my friend who is like a sister.
To many of you,this may not look like a family, but to me this is the best family ever!
So when I'm sad I think of my special family and it brings a smile to my face.

It's Snowing Again!!!!! / Happy New Year!!!!!!!

Well I think this winter will be a snowy one. We had 12" before christmas. Now we're going to get 8" today. I'm sure glad I bought grandson a sleigh/sled. Maybe his parents will pull him outside.
I'm happy to see it snow. I love it except if I have to drive in it. When it's done I'll take pictures. I didn't do that last week.
Well I'm off to my scrap room to do some cleaning/organizing for the new year.Everyone have a Happy New Year! Please be safe!!!!!

Wide Awake!!!!!

Here I am again. Couldn't sleep. This is beginning to become a habit with me. Up all night and sleep all day.
Usually when this happens, I go upstairs in scrapbook room and create. I think I have a block. I can't even create.
I have so many ideas floating in my head, but can't seem to do anything. I'm thinking of closing my Etsy Shop.
It's not doing that great right now. I loved doing the craft shows but there done for the season.
I need to work on my scrapbooks. I still have my husbands military one to do. I need to start my grandsons 2yr. one. I did a baby one for him. Did a 1yr. to 2yr. one. I want to try and do them for every year. I thought that when he got older I would give them to him.
I need to get motivated!!!!!!!! Help!!!!!! LOL!
Well I guess I'll check out my favorite blogs till I get tired!

Busy Week!

This week will be busy. My anniversary is tomorrow. It will be 35 yrs. I'm trying to get my scrapbook room cleaned. So far I have done nothing. I'm painting it lilac. I want to make some vinyl lettering in my favorie inspirational words and quotes! I was hoping to get it done this week. But so far I haven't done it. I've been tired lately. All I want to do is sleep.
I want to work on making valentine cards and regular cards. I need to pack all my Christmas crafts away.
Well I'm getting tired. I think I'll go to bed early.

Christmas Is Over!

Well Christmas is over. I hope everyone had a great day. Mine was great. I must admit I'm glad it's over. It's time to get back on track and get back to healthy habits.
I went overboard with all the goodies. So now it's back to exercising and eating healthy.
I want to go shopping today. Need some healthy foods in my house!

Merry Christmas!!!!!

Well it's Christmas! I'm awake and waiting for grandson to get up. When he's up my daughter will call so we can go see him open his gifts. He's 2 and he seems to understand.
We have breakfast every Christmas morning. It's our tradition. We always have crepes. We used to have it at my house but with my grandson, we now do at daughters.
Last night we went there and had a feast.
I ate too much as usual.
After today it's back to eating healthy.

Snow Is On It's Way!

Well we're having a bad snowstorm this afternoon. I'm all prepared to do all my cookies, candy and finish my Christmas gifts!
I don't have my grandson today. He's been sick with a cold all week so I've been in my house all week. Now my daughter has the same thing so she's not going to work.
It's been a long week, not leaving the house!!!!! I like the fresh air!!!!!

Baking Today!

Well I've been up since 3am trying to get my cookies done. I was doing them yesterday but had a little set back. My Son-in-law called from the hospital to say my daughter was brought in by ambulance from her job. Of cause I panicked. I couldn't go because I had my grandson and had no one to watch him. I called husband and he went to hospital to see.
They think she had some kind of a reaction to something. Her whole body turned red and was hot. They hooked her up to Iv and gave her benydryl. She was sweating and some pain. She went home and I guess she needs to get testing done.
I'm still concerned because she went back to work this morning. I'm afraid if it was something at work it will happen again. They had to put her on oxygen to breathe.
Well I'm trying to get all my things done for the holiday. I'm trying to have everything done before next week. Everyone expects home made cookies, breads and candy so I don't want to dissapoint them.
Well need to feed grandson!!!! Have a great day everyone!

Nothing Goes As Planned!

Well, here I am waiting for dd to pick up grandson. I was supposed to go to a ribbon cutting ceremony but ended up not going.
I definately have the flu!!!! I've been having symptoms all week but thought it was allergies. Well, it is definately more. I have a headache, chills, coughing and tightness in chest. My body is starting to ache all over. Soon as grandson is gone I'm putting vicks on and going to bed. I don't want to be sick for Christmas.
Well, I may not be blogging for a few days. Enjoy the holiday season and stay healthy.

Great Day!

Had a great day yesterday! Went to friends floral shop with grandson to drop a few things off. My grandson loves going there to see Aunti Melinda and Auntie Linda. ( They let him rule!!!!)
Then at night I went there and priced my cards and things. They are having their ribbon cutting tomorrow! Grandson and I will be there to cheer them on!
There shop looks so beautiful. So cheery, great things, decorated for the holidays!

Craft Show !

Well my craft show was Sat. It turned out great! I sold out of many items. I was very happy. Everyone liked my things and no one else made anything like mine. I met a few great crafters there. I had a very good day! I'll definately do this one next year!
Now I need to get started on next years items.
I took pictures so I can put on here. Just need to get cartridge to print them!
We had our first snow storm today. It wasn't much but it made me get more into the Christmas spirit. I hardly decorated this year. Oh well, maybe next year.

TGIF!

Well it's friday and I have my jeep packed for the show Sat. Set up is tonight at 4. I had to take grandsons carseat out, so that means we're stuck in the house all day. Maybe when he naps I can make a few extra things for show. I guess when you do shows you never think you have enough. I did alot of things all under $5. I figured it's a school and teachers gifts and stocking stuffers will sell. I have 8 trees I did for tables. I did them primitive looking. I think they will sell. I even did a 12" one for baby . It has teddy bears and looks like old victorian. I'll take pictures of everything and my set up at the show. I'll put them on here. Well, here comes grandbaby! Have to go! Here's a card I did last night after packing the car! I scraplifted the saying from someone on cricut or a blog. Can't remember who. Thank you!

Happy Tuesday!

Well my craft show is this sat. I'm trying so hard to get alot of different things done. I'm behind. I started off good yesterday but by 5pm I had such a bad headache I just went to bed. I didn't get up till 4am. this morning. I'm still not feeling great. I hope I feel better by Sat.
I love this craft show. It's at a school and it gets alot of traffic. I'm doing alot of things for under $5.00. They will make great teacher gifts and stocking stuffers.

Bad day!

Well I had a bad day today! I didn't get much done for craft show. I was so tired I slept most of the day. I went upstairs and managed to get 1 tree done and almost finish the acrylic calender. I really need to work every night till thursday but after taking caring of grandson all day, I doubt that will happen. I was really hoping on getting alot of things done. I think my sleeping habit is out of control. I went to bed at 6 tonight and now I'm wide awake.
I can't wait till the show on Sat. I love doing this one. It's one of the better ones that I do. I do it with my friend. We make sure we get our spot next to each other.
I'm making alot of things under $5. It's at a school so I'm sure I will sell them.
I'm still working on christmas cards. Need to get them done. I hope I have time to make some for me!
