Bad Week So Far!!!!!!

As you know for the last 2 weeks my family has been sick. Well we're all better but I can't seem to get back into the swing of things. My crafting has gone downhill. Everytime I try to make new cards , it's a struggle. So I think I need to step back for awhile and not try to make any. I have no ideas at all. All I want to do is sleep. When my grandson goes home I go to sleep. Maybe I'm just tired of winter or maybe I'm tired of crafting!!!! I hope this changes soon or I will be giving up my Etsy Site! I'd hate to do that but more and more I think I will have to. Well I really don't have anything else to say, so I'll say good bye!

New Altered Address Book!

As you know my family has all had the stomach flu. Well I finally got a chance to come on here. Here's my new Address book I made last week before we all got sick. Well just found out husband has it now. So I guess another few days of sickness. Dd just picked up my grandson. I don't want him to get sick again.

My 3 Day Weekend!

Well I was excited about my 3 day weekend. On friday my dd called and said my grandson was sick. So I didn't have to watch him. Of cause I went to see him. The poor little guy had the bad stomach flu. He couldn't keep anything down.
The Dr. didn't even want to see him because this flu spreads quickly. He just said to give him fluids and after clean all his toys with bleach.
So yesterday I cleaned his whole toy chest here and everything in my house. I did SPRING CLEANING! So no scrapbooking for me.
Today I want to finish everything , then maybe get my scrapbook room painted. I've been painting it since last May. It's half done! I want to look over everything and get rid of alot of it. There's things I haven't even used yet. Time to clean out and see what I can get rid of. I want to take the carpet out and put a wood floor up there.
I think I'll get rid of the big steel shelfs and maybe do it with old items from around my house. Kind of like a shabby chic look. I love that kind of look.
Well as you can see I couldn't sleep so maybe I'll get something done now!

New Altered Set I Made !

I made this last night. I'm not sure if I like the way it turned out. When I get an idea to alter something, it doesn't mean it comes out good. Thats what I like about altering. It's a challenge every time! It's a address book, a clip, and a magnetic bookmark.

I just got this paper and I thought a card with love on it would look great. I just love the roses . I added butterflies to give it a spring look.

Here's a few of my latest altered items. I love altering everything I can think of. I'll be altering some magnetic frames and clips to go with these. They would be cute for a office our a pod at work. I'll be selling them on my Etsy site in a set of 2.

Couldn't Sleep!

Haven't done any cards to put on. I'm having a problem with my hand! I had a bad fall over 2 years ago. I damaged my hand and wrist real bad. The surgeon said I would never use that hand again. Well my prayers we're answered and I got the use of my hand back. Well the last year I've been having problems with it. I'm losing some of my strength again. Yes, I feel bad but at least I got the use of it back!
Yesterday I had a bad day with it. I had to put my brace on it because the pain was so bad. Our weather here has been cold!!!! We've had snow every week since before Christmas. The weather effects my hand and me, being who I am, doing things and trying to get more hours in a day doesn't help.
Yesterday I didn't do anything but take care of my grandson. It was hard doing that but this morning I'm feeling better. I'm not in as much pain. Hopefully this weekend I can get upstairs in my scraproom and do some things!
Sorry for my venting but just posting this gets me out of my pitty me mode!!! I'm back to my old self!!! I hate these moods! My poor daughter had to listen to me whine!!! She had to put me in my place to get me out of it!!!

Happy Tuesday!

Had a great night last night. Got a chance to visit my friend at her floral shop. Taking care of grandson all week and trying to get errands done on weekend, doesn't give me much time to see friends.
Last night I made sure I would visit her. I actually helped her. I filled the water tubes. No I don't do flowers!!!!!
We had a nice visit and I got to relax there .
I'm working on new cards so I should have them done by tonight. I'll put them on tomorrow.

My Friends At Floral Shop!

Here's some pictures of my friends at Morning Glory Florist. I sell my cards here. My friends Mel and Linda own this beautiful shop.
I've known Mel along time. We first met when we we're selling our crafts at a little craft shop. Mel is the one in black.
Now she owns a flower shop and her dream has come true. Who says you can't have your dream, she does.
I'm still doing crafts but not wood items. I've changed and love doing altered items and cards. I'm trying to live out my dream.

Weird Saturday!

Have you ever planned a day and it just doesn't turn out how you want it to? Well thats my life every weekend!
I take care of my grandson Mon.-Fri. So I plan my Saturday to get everything done. Well I definately have good intentions!
I start off great with my plan but I never get done.
I cleaned alot but never finished. I had to do errands. Well my errands turned into more.
I stopped to see my friend at her floral shop and we decided I would go there later to do a few things for her scrapbooking door. I've been doing page layouts for the door going into her work area.
I made plans to go back there later. Well, little did I know those plans would change !!!!!! How quickly things change!!!!!
I just drove in my driveway when my dd called to say they were coming over to set up my router so I could use my new little laptop. Yes I bought one of those cute little acer 8.9" ones ! Yes it is small but it's perfect for me!
Well my sil set it up and discovered we needed another piece because my Dell didn't have wireless in it.
Hmmm, imagine that!
Well they had to go out and get another part. Well to make a long story short I had to call friend and tell her I couldn't go!!! I was dissapointed because I really wanted to spend time with her and get the door done!
Well needless to say I ended up going there at 7 and stayed till 9.
So I've decided I'm not planning my Saturdays anymore!!!!!
Good idea?????
Well I guess I'll try to get something done before anything changes today!

Snowing Again!

I love snow but I think I'm starting to get tired of it. I was hoping to get some cards made today but I'm sick. I have a bad head cold. I feel horrible. I'm going to put some vicks on and go back to bed! If I feel better I'll make some cards. Have a great sunday everyone!
